While most members are Master Gardener graduates, all those interested in gardening and who have a garden are welcome to join. If you come to a meeting you will be welcomed, encouraged to join, and you will experience for yourself the enthusiasm of our members. The Long Island Master Gardeners (LIMG) is an organization dedicated to uniting gardeners through their common interest in gardening, to disseminate horticultural information to its members and the public, to extending its horticultural education activities for the improvement of its members and the communities of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and seeking and initiating projects, such as the establishment and/or maintenance of public gardens.
LIMG members benefit from such activities as lectures, demonstrations, seed and plant exchanges, tours, designing and making flower arrangements, donating to local food drives and much more.
The Long Island Master Gardeners is a tax-exempt organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(4). Contributions to LIMG are not tax deductible.
